Light + Love
This is the time of year, where everything slows down enough that we have a chance to take a look around and remember what we are thankful for and what we truly care about. Family, is the first thing that comes to mind for me and I'm sure I'm not the only one. Family can mean many different things, for me, it is defined by the people that light up my life and remind me to laugh. The people that support you through just about anything and always know how to make you smile. These people may not be always related to you by blood, but sometimes that makes them even closer. This weekend, I got to take some pictures of some truly beautiful people. Amber has been my friend for quite some time now and I felt lucky, to get to capture her lovely little family. So here's Amber, Wesley and their gorgeous son, Landon!
The Deurs
Meet Doug and Faith Deur and their three wonderful kids, Griffin, Brennan and Anna. I had so much fun hiking to Crescent Beach with this family, while capturing some holiday photos of them. Faith had told me last time they had a family portrait, Griffin wasn't even born yet, so it was long overdo! We lucked out on some rare and beautiful weather for this time of year and even got the whole beach to ourselves.
Fort George's North 7
Last week, I had the best Friday ever. I got to shoot Fort George's new bottled beer, North 7 and get my friends to model for it. This beer is all about the Northwest, having fun and being cozy together as winter comes upon us. At 9% and barrel aged it's a strong and warming Belgium inspired IPA. We wanted to represent that in the shoot, which was easy, since all my friends are ridiculously attractive and fun. This is why I love Astoria, everyone is always down to help each other out and have a blast doing it. That is what makes it such a strong and awesome community to be apart of.
